Supporting the Local Community

This year’s Aacer Sports Flooring Installation School was held at a local school, Peshtigo Elementary Learning Center (PELC).  The purpose of this 3-day event is to train their Dealer network on their sports flooring systems.

PELC’s multipurpose room was in need of a new floor.  With budget constraints, getting a new floor was not feasible.  Aacer Flooring, Stalker Sports Floors – Aacer’s Wisconsin Certified Dealer, and other vendors were able to provide the Peshtigo School District with a premium hardwood sports floor at an affordable rate.  Aacer Flooring donated all the maple flooring for the project.  Other materials and services were in-kind from Westy’s Trucking, PoloPlaz, Norton, Pukall, Fortifiber and Aacer’s Wisconsin Dealer, Stalker Sports Floors.

PELC’s multipurpose room is a high-profile area.  It is used for everything from physical education classes to youth basketball practices and tournaments to softball pitching practice.  The room was open to the public on Saturday, November 10th.  Brian Williams, Director of Buildings, Grounds & Transportation for the Peshtigo School District said, “It was truly a positive experience working with the professionals from Aacer Flooring.  The new wood gym floor that they and their Dealers installed looks amazing!  We greatly appreciate the generous donations from Aacer Flooring and their partners that will benefit our students and our community member for decades to come.”

Aacer Flooring’s hardwood may be found around the world, but the gym floor installed two miles down the road from the plant may be the project that produces the greatest pride.  A high percentage of Aacer Flooring’s 150-200 employees live in the Peshtigo area.  Many of their employees graduated from the Peshtigo schools and/or have children attending school there now.  Being able to donate flooring to a school that has given so much to their employees and their community, is a source of pride for Aacer.
