Peshtigo support of Aacer Flooring saves jobs
PESHTIGO —Aacer Flooring has taken a significant last step toward positioning the business as a force once again to be reckoned with by exiting the Chapter 128 receivership it filed on March 30, saving 141 jobs in Peshtigo.
All business assets of Aacer Flooring, LLC were purchased by Aacer Acquisition, LLC (doing business as Aacer Flooring) on June 28, after several rounds of bidding.
“During our receivership process, the City of Peshtigo was instrumental in preserving jobs,” Todd Braun Chief Executive Officer, said. “Without their help, we’d have lost all of these jobs in the process. The strength, perseverance and loyalty of both the employees and customer base make this opportunity for continued success possible.” Aacer currently has 141 employees and serves the sports flooring, residential, commercial and Original Equipment Manufacturer markets both domestically and internationally.
“The city is behind Aacer to work with the company to save jobs and grow their business in any way they can,” Al Krizenesky, City of Peshtigo mayor, said. “The city is behind them for the sake of the community, the county, the state and the country.”
Aacer will continue to produce flooring in their 250,000-square-feet facility that houses a combination of manufacturing and warehousing, state-of-the-art equipment and dry kilns, for delivery to customers that range from elementary schools to NBA and Olympic venues.
